Founder
RJ Smith, founder of RJ Smith Construction, a boutique construction firm renowned for crafting unique, high-quality homes in California’s South Bay, particularly in Hermosa and Manhattan Beach, was born and raised in Redondo Beach, California.
From a young age, RJ aspired to build and design custom homes, drawing inspiration from his mother, a designer, and his stepfather, a custom builder.

Nina, who joined our team as office manager in early 2024, has seamlessly transitioned to the accounting department as a Project Accountant, quickly proving to be a valuable asset.

On Manhattan Ave, we partnered with @juliedonovandesign to carry her vision from first sketch to final finish, without a single detail lost in translation. When design and execution move as one, nothing gets compromised.

A lot came together at Poinsettia last week. Finish carpentry, interior painting, countertops, and landscaping, all moving at once. Out back, tile is going in over the new concrete subbase.
Next up: finish carpentry detailing like the hidden doors and playroom facade, plus cabinet painting, stair handrails, and final selections on door hardware, cabinet hardware, and electrical fixtures.
Every week, this project looks a little more like home.
